Rue des Lombards: a jazz paradise
This pedestrian street in the city center is famous for its many, many bars. Most of them are not very expensive and offer a very appealing happy hour, and almost all of them offer live music. The main genre in this area is jazz music, although there are also some locations with rock music. In most places, you have to pay a couple of euros to access the stage and attend (or participate) in jam sessions and gigs. We highly recommend Le Baiser Salé and Le Duc des Lombards, a legendary venue for jazz people !

Have a indie rock evening at the Supersonic
This rock concert hall is located in an old factory building close to the Opéra Bastille. Their program is available online, and they aim at highlighting new artists. You can see up to 3 gigs per night and it’s for free most of the time. Spot the newest indie artists at this cool location!
Intimate and underground evening at l’International
Paris is full of surprises. The street Rue Saint Maur is one of them and hides many cool places, among l’International. It’s the perfect venue for in the winter time ! It offers very nice dinner deals, and you will find the stage downstairs. Usually, all the gigs (and exhibitions sometimes) are free and the evening continues with a DJ set upstairs.

This venue is about live music in Paris in every way possible. Close to the La Villette park and the legendary venue Zenith, any music lover can find what they like at Philharmonie de Paris. Besides gigs (mostly focused on classical music) and activities (even for children!), they launch exhibitions and hold conferences about music. Their last success was l’Expo Electro. You can also enjoy the restaurant in and the gardens in the summer.
L’étage: a classy and surprising venue
L’étage charges 5€ per evening to attend to 3 or 4 gigs. What a deal! In its very intimate setting, you can enjoy a meal or a nice drink discovering talented artists. You could even meet some Gigstarter artists, like the singer Louis Bey this summer!
