Do you know why you should create an extra profile on Gigstarter? Even if you are already playing in a band, you can create another solo artist profile while keeping your basic Gigstarter account.
Duos and trios are becoming more and more popular as a live music choice at weddings, conferences and other corona-proof events. We highlighted a few advantages of having an additional smaller formation profile!
Create a second profile
Did you know that with one basic Gigstarter profile, you can create a second artist profile on the platform. You have to go to your personal dashboard and click on ''create a new profile'' as the picture below suggests. The creation process remains the same as a live video, audios are needed. If you are a PRO member on Gigstarter, you can manage up to 5 different profiles. For instance, if you play in a band, you have the opportunity to create a solo artist profile for each band member, or dividing the band into duos. Your band members will be more likely to get booked through Gigstarter.
How to create a new profile
Corona-proof events
With the corona measures, solo artist and duos are preferred for cafés, bars, restaurants and private events as less people gathered at the same place became safer. If you manage a solo artist profile in addition to your band profile, you increase then the chances to be booked during this hard time.

An ensemble is easy to move around and needs little space
An ensemble doesn’t have a lot of equipment, so they can move around during their performance. Very useful when you want live music at the entrance when your guests arrive and want them to continue playing in a different part of your venue. Especially with the unpredictable weather in the United Kingdom, it’s useful that an ensemble can quickly move indoors when necessary. A different pro is that ensembles don’t need a lot of space to perform. Very useful in some venues or terrace!
Lower cost
Costs are lower! That’s something you can expect from most ensembles; they’re cheaper than big bands. Less musicians means less costs, but you still enjoy the presence of a band. An ensemble looks great at all events and doesn’t take up a lot of space. In short: a perfect addition to any party, event, wedding or anniversary!
Your guests can still talk to each other
Ensembles are perfect to perform in the background of events. This way, your guests can still hear each other while the music is playing. A great addition to your party! Click on the red button to see the database of smaller formations at Gigstarter.
